Generally Accepted Beirut Rules:

• Teams are 2 v 2.
• Play is conducted on large table  (4' by 8') approx 3 ft off ground.
• Two ping pong balls are used.
• Each team has a designated amount of cups.
• You can't grab a ball until it bounces or crosses the plane of the table.
• Losing team finishes everything left in winner's cups.
• The game is generally played indoors (Walgreen can only win outdoors).

• Cup Formation:
• Each player has six cups.  Each cup is a 16 ounce Solo brand cup.
• Cups are set in pyramid formation in front of each player.
• Each cup must contain at least 2 ounces (1 beverage/6cups).
• When a team has a cumulative total of 6 cups, they must RACKEM'.
• To Rack, place the remaining six cups in pyramid formation at table rear-center.
• Throwing:
• Each team starts with one ball.  Count down for first throw.
• No bouncing, a bounced ball may be vigorously swatted away (if it goes in it does count though).
• It is strongly recommended that teams throw as a team (wait for your opponents to throw both balls).
• Sinking:
• Once a ball hits bottom of your cup, you must drink the contents of the cup, and remove it from play (lining cups on the side is prefered to stacking used cups).
• If you or your team sink two balls in a row, you do NOT get the balls back.
• If ball comes to rest on top of rack (rare), nothing happens (aside from oohs and ahhs).
• Blowing in cup is NOT allowed.
• The player who chooses to drink the made cup cannot throw until all contents of the cup have been consumed.
• Misc:
• NO bad balls.  You can not throw a ball if it is out of play.  (The players must throw in turn.  If a ball bounces back from a throw, it is out of play and should be given to the opposing team).
• If you (or the ball) knocks your own cup over, you must remove it from play.
• You can't throw your ball at an opponents rack like a baseball. This is a complete rookie/drunk move and deserves a beat-down.
• NO "Throwbacks" or second chance rule, once your last cup is hit, game over. No rebuttle.
• Each team *should* have one cup filled with clean water to rinse balls that are dirty before throwing them again.
• If something happens and neither side can agree, do a re-throw.
